Neoprene Products Now L.D.S

The neoprene elements in Mason acoustic ceiling hangers, wall isolation products, as well as Mason floating floor products have now been replaced with the new L.D.S (Low Dynamic Stiffness) rubber.
Mason Industries rubber mounts and pads are still available in neoprene although there are LDS rubber versions available.

Mason literature is currently being updated to show L.D.S (Low Dynamic Stiffness) in place of the neoprene where applicable.

Longevity of Natural Rubber

A study commission by the Malaysian Rubber Board on the The Longevity of Natural Rubber in Engineering Applications found that all the evidence points to a service life well in excess of 100 years for well-designed and well manufactured natural rubber load bearing components. Good design and manufacture are assured by the wealth of information and advice available: natural rubber is backed by 50 Engineering Data Sheets giving detailed physical and dynamic mechanical properties for a comprehensive range of vulcanizates. The publication of the EDS serie has led to claims that natural rubber is the best characterized engineering elastomer available: the evidence here shows without doubt that it is also the longest-serving.
